With the kayak, don't be afraid to do the Bantam river instead. There are some big pike in "Little Pond", the part of the river that opens up that the boardwalk goes around. If you park near the little bridge (there's a lot) in White Memorial and launch, it's about a mile or so up from the bridge and usually there aren't to many other guys up there. You can also try Lake Winchester, though that one can be frustrating to fish. |
