Today I fished for porgy in a place near fairfield. Got there around 7 with my grandpa. We caught a few each, and most of them were pretty big. I have noticed the porgies are bigger than last year. I used sandworms for bait. Anyone else having luck with them? |

I was all over them on the Breachway in R.I. there were about 30 people there fishing and we were all pulling them out like no tomorrow. _________________ There's a fine line between fishing....

The action was a bit slower today. I had a few bites, but ended up catching 2 porgy (1 keeper) and a small fluke. Most of the porgies caught this year have been pretty nice size, compared to last year. |

Northern Puffer used to be common around here. I hear they released some in the Peconic a few years back to try and jump start the pop. again. _________________ There's a fine line between fishing....

Go seining near reefs, grass, sandbars. You will pick up little ones for sure. |

Past few days I have been getting my share of scup. Mostly small ones. Once I find the school, I have to move with it. Today I caught one fluke and one sea robin. I used sandworms. I then caught and kept 9 snappers to eat. |
