I can see some of the benefits of this reel, especially for the elderly or disabled. I think what really makes it seem cheesey though is the "fisherman" in the video.."if you're like me you like to have a hand free for a sandwich or a drink..." de de deeee....
or, "if you're like me, you like to have a finger free for nose picking"...
The biggest drawback I see is there is only one switch to reel in so to me that looks like it only goes one speed. I wish there were more "choices" _________________ Never give up!

I can maybe see that reel being useful if I were plugging all night (morning) long. Maybe its variable speed on that trigger? _________________ There's a fine line between fishing....

Just need the attachment to toss out a 3 ounce plug that would last for a few hours. When I went fishing with Crest Daddy we were tossing plugs a night and with a bad back that was really tearing me up quite bad. I toughed it out but needed a few days to recover from that so doing that a few days in a row and Id be out of commission. Maybe build in a something like a paintball gun barrel that a few lures would fit snug into. LOL _________________ There's a fine line between fishing....
