Went out with a friend to 3 way some live eels over the great sand shoal sat night.
Tons of squid flying by like glow sticks, lots of bioluminescent criiters swimming around.
I got a striped bass short, 23", friend got a blue that flipped off when i tried to hoist it over the boat.

Did you get the short bass on an eel? That's a small fish to hit an eel. Guess they will go after bigger baits than i thought. My experience is that if there's 23"ers around, there's keepers close by.Keep throwing. |

Hit the eel, only a 6-7 inch eel, heck a 5 inch bluegill sometimes manages to get hooked on a 5 inch senko,
oh yes always better then being skunked, it was also my first striper of the year.
the shoal is always a decent spot. |

Hey fish finder,
I haven't been going for Stripers this year, being up by Hartford, but grew up on the coast,. Find moving water, niantic river, bride brook on rocky neck, 3 way some squid. Usally works, its bait, and the movement of squid acts as a lure. |
