What the heck is this? Caught it catching snappers for live lining. Is this thing legal to use?

If it's all good I'm going to go get a sabiki rig to catch more since there's no bunker around. |

Either a herring or a shad.
This is a hickory shad
Those are herring |

The shape looks just like the blue back, but the color is off. Someone else told me American shad.I don't know what to do, maybe just leave them be for now. |

I'd say it's a small hickory shad. Sure as hell looks like it, plus this is the time of year for em. But hard to tell. The herring family is a tricky one. Hell, its probably a great bait though! _________________ ...of all the liars among mankind, the fisherman is the most trustworthy.
