Fished Hayward today from 6am-1pm. First cast of the day with the slammer it gets destroyed by something big that got off halfway to the boat. No more hits on the slammer after that so I change up to a drop shot rig with a zoom finesse worm. We caught fish in 15-18ft of water with the drop shot worm resting right on the top of the weeds. We got 5 each, with the biggest going around 2.5lbs. All largies, no smallies. Without the drop shot, I'm convinced that we both would have been skunked. _________________ Catch and release only.
