Fished the low incoming at the beach tonight. Hit 6 fish, landed 4. 3 were short stripers 18-22"s and 1 keeper @ 29". 3 fish on a bomber, 1 on the teaser.
No bait left on the beach and for some reason there were fish. Can't figure these fish sometimes, just gotta put in the effort.

I have a sticker, but you can park free on reef rd and then walk the beach.

Have you seen anything caught off the pier lately?

Haven't really been there in a couple weeks. The whole area seems dead since the masses of sand eels split. I think once the silversides get going there will be a lot going on there again. Not much food around for the fish these days

Went back to the beach tonight. Got about 30 minutes in b4 the thunderstorm came thru. Caught a fluke on a mag darter and lost 1 as well.
Sat the storm out in the pavilion for 2 hrs. Fished for an hour afterward and my friend came up with 1 short bass on a teaser. There were sand eels there tonight as well, but not very many. Can't wait for the silversides to come in strong.

I got 2 short fluke on a plug last night down beach from there. I would try a small jig w spearing on the hook and cast and retrieve it.

Went to the beach again tonight. Got 1 bass on a bomber that was borderline keeper. When i got it in i noticed it was deformed as if it was in the pond on the simpsons. It had a very fat wide forehead with little top lip and a normal lower jaw. Looked real crazy.Eyes on the front of the head. Before i could measure it and take a pic, i dropped it and it swam away.

I'm in! I usually fish with my 7 year old which can be rewarding and trying at the same time.
