Fished cov today from 2-4pm. Had to stay within a few hundred yards of ramp due to boat issues. Boated 4 bass,2 smallies (both over 2 1/2 lbs) and 2 largies arouind 1 1/2 pounds each. Water temps were 77 with sun to clouds and clear water. Winds 10-15 from north. Fish were caught in 6-10 f/o/w on senkos (wacky rigged) and a van dam spinnerbait in sexy shad color.

Sounds like a good trip man. Especially with the 2-1/2lb smallmouths. It always seems a bit more rewarding to me to hit a descent smallie than it does a largemouth. Until the lmb is over 3-1/2lbs... thats when I remember why I usually stick to large mouth fishn.
Glad to see when that lake produces. I have always kinda liked that lake for some reason. _________________ Am I obsessed, or is it normal to play with my lures every night? |
