I took my Future Beach Trophy 126 kayak down to Spring Pond this morning and fished the south cove from 8:15 am to 11:00 am. It was sunny and windy. I'd guess that the north wind approached 10 miles per hour. I worked my way counter-clockwise around the cove from the big culvert on the west shore. I took only one setup with me; a red Gamakatsu 4/0 Offset Shank Worm EWG hook with a Zoom Horny Toad frog in Bullfrog. I did a complete circle of the cove, including the south shore of the south island. I got 11 hits on the frog and managed four hooksets on largemouth bass. The last two hits came on a Stanley Ribbit frog in Red Pepper Peeper, but I missed the hookset on both. Three of the bass were shorts and the keeper weighed two pounds, seven ounces:
