6/25
1 fluke around 20"
1 scup
1 skate
I lost the largest bluefish of my life at the boat, very upset about it. It was the hardest fight ive had with a fish. had to be around or over the 10 pound mark about 35 ", partially blame my friend for failing to net it, and my self for not pulling it closer, ugh,
my friends got 2 keepers, 2 shorts, one borderliner, for fluke, biggest of the day was just shy of 6 lbs
6/27
slow day
Skunked
one keeper fluke for the boat. |

Thats a bummer about that blue man. I had the same thing happen with a bluefish except I was on shore. Fought the thing for what felt like a fortnight at the Wharf in Madison about 3-4 years ago. I had steel leaders on and everything and the mono before the leader broke off about 5-10 feet before I had him in. If it wasn't high tide I think I might have dove in after him. There was about 50 yards of line that was beat to crap after the fight I had to pull it off. My buddy told me I let him run too much and that is why I lost him but there was no stopping this guy from running. I would estimate mine was about the same as what yours was 3ft-10lbs. In our waters here, nothing compares to fighting a healthy bluefish. _________________ Never give up! |
