Went to Silver Lake from 7am - 12pm on Sunday. First time I have ever been there so it was an interesting experience.
Weather - Hot and about 85 degrees, water was very warm
The water was very shallow (wasnt expecting it to be so shallow) from about 5-12 feet. 12 feet was the deepest I saw which was about 2 minutes.
Caught 2 Channel Catfish and a handful of Sunfish. Catfish were small, the bigger one was about 13" Used spinners, senkos, and a handful of nightcrawlers.
Next week I am looking to try a new lake. There was a ton of weeds at Silver Lake.
Hopefully sooner than later I can figure out how to post a picture .

You should try a soft plastic frog. Zoom Horny Toads on Gamakatsu 4/0 hooks swim well over pads and dense weeds. Just be sure to use braided fishing line.
And, yes Kira, I'm hooked on frogging now. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |
