I have a St. Croix casting rod with a Shimano Citica baitcasting reel. The reel foot doesn't fit into the reel seat right so you can't tighten down to where you'd want it. It actually fell off the rod while I was fighting a fish the other day. Any suggestions? I was thinking about sanding down the reel foot a little to see if I can get to fit more snug, but I don't want to ruin the reel. |

That doesnt sound like a bad idea... I have a baitcaster that has a problem similar to this as well... I should maybe try the same thing... Mine doesnt sound as bad as yours though... _________________ ~ Marc

A little loctite on the threads of the reel seat holds it down nice and tight, and wont back off. Slayman.......... _________________ B.est
