So I'm new to the site but not to the sport I live in the Waterbury area and usually go to west haven and Milford spots but a buddy told me he's been hearing about strippers at "derby dam" so I wanna check what the hype is about I'm looking to go tonight for the high tide so my questions are
location? Worth the trip? Anyone ganna be out there tonight? |

Sorry I missed the post yesterday. Hopefully you got something but most Strippers or at least the big ones are out of there. Best bet right now is the mouth and sound. For more help in your hunt go to the dep website and check out the fishing report. The only place I have caught keepers the last month has been by boat in the sound. It's been great out there. A keeper or two every trip and they are cows. I have shore fished in between boat trips and only got Schoolies everywhere. Good luck.
