Fished the WET tourney on the Shetucket river in S. Windham last night from 5pm-9pm with fellow BAWS member Rhodes. I guess a few of the guys who run the trail are members of the Fish & Game club there so they are allowed to have a couple of tourneys out there every year. It was pretty cool to fish something totally new. Out of 8 boats, we ended up 1st place (5 fish/10.04 lbs) with lunker (3.44), so that was cool. Got one on a spinnerbait and the rest on jigs and crawbugs. 2nd place was 9.60 lbs. We had one 12-inch rat and we figured that was going to hurt us, but we eeked it out. |
