Hey guys, I finally figured out how to post pics on the posts so I'll most likely be a bit more social here.

I found a new small pond in the eastford area, and caught my new pb (5lbs even). Got him in 5' of weedy 75deg. water, next to a log laydown along shore. Bout 5pm.I was throwing a wacky 5" watermelon w/red flake senko. also hit my second largest (4-9) the following weekend in the same spot with the same bait.
Along with several other 2lbers. Most caught on the senko, but a couple were pulled from lilly pads on a green and yellow hollow body frog on 30lb braid.

My father hit a nice 3-9 on a chartuse spinner in some branches. He also lost what looked to be a 6lber in the first 10mins of our trip.

Over all it was a great fathers day trip!

Nice. So far this year I've tended to fish in the middle of the day, and the slower lures like wacky rigged Senkos have been outperforming the faster lures like spinnerbaits and crankbaits. However, under yesterday's totally overcast skies, the largemouth bass were very active and would hit a frog dragged over the weeds. I'm lookling forward to fishing more during the early morning and evening, now that my kids are out of school.

Thanks guys!

As I mentioned, now that I know how to post pics I am encouraged to make more reports and reply to the ones I read. You guys on this site know how to give a proper report with your fishing trips and I have learned plenty from them as well as your replies when I have questions.

I hope I can become as helpful to you guys as you have been with me.

Thanks again guys!

SWEET!!! I hope to catch something bigger than 2 lbs this year. In FL there was no problem. I'm still learning CT.

BassRican, some good places to break the 2lb mark, as long as you have a boat of some kind, are; Rogers lake, Highland lake, Lake congamond, and moodus res, if you dont mind some boat traffic.

More quiet good ones are, Bolton lower, long pond, ball pond, amos lake, and east twin lake.

There are many others that are better than these examples I'm sure, but I know these have all produced 3lb + bass for me, and with pretty good consistancy!

Let me know if I can help with any specific tips for you. The guys on this site have been key in my learning process and I would be more than happy to be that helpfull for others now that I can be.
