Ok so i went on June 20th. I went out in Clinton and arrived around the water around 9. Fished till about 5pm. Caught 3 keepers. 32", 29" and 30". I also got a schoolie maybe 15". and had a monster on but i got hooked up on a snag and lost em'. I used whole squid with a 40lb mono leader.

Hi bh !

Go to Google and type in "How to rig a squid".

Many sites with explanations (cut and whole squid), diagrams, and videos on how to.
You will need a bait needle.

Good Luck,

Hey fishingkid,
Try this
I like to use the flo pink slugo 9" or 12" slice the back end like tentacles from the lines back and rig it like you normally would then reel in nice and steady.Don't flinch or jig it.(that's what works well for me)
Good Luck

i was using a number 4/0 circle hook. I used the whole squid thawed out. I rigged it through the tube part on the top of the squid. I pass the hook through 2-3 times and just let the rest dangle off the hook. seems to move very nice in a moving water.
