Time: 5:00-700 am
Weather: overcast, rainy, 55-59°

The morning started off great, caught 2 bass with the first 2 casts! Fish were very aggressive. After catching a few with light line, senkos, we decided to fish more aggressively. I cast a yellow spinnerbait (something I rarely try at ball pond, but Sweet Lou already had it tied on) and had a big post spawn mamma slam it! As the storm approached the fishing cooled off, and as the rain began the fish stopped bitting. All said we caught around 10 bass with one real nice one in the boat.

I tried to post pics but the site will not let me embed the link until I have 3 posts, so until then you can check them out at my website

My buddy Gardner and I got to BP at 7:45. He caught 4 small LargeMouth's immediately. Then it slowed up. we moved around a bit. I hooked in to the biggest one of the, day a 2.24 lb LargeMouth. (I would post a pic but I would have to of attended MIT to learn how to post it!). Then I caught a 1.7 lber and Gardner caught a 1.9 and a 1.4. So we caught 8 all together. We considered it a good day! The 2 snafu's of the day (cause it doesn't alway so smooth) are the biggest one still has the hook in his guts. Couldn't get it out! I was afraid I would kill him if I kept screwin with him. Then Gardner hooked the last one of the day through his eye! The eye came out with the hook. Poor lil guy Sad

What do you guys do if the hook gets buried in the stomach? I usually try to get it out with a hemostat (i have an awesome 4 piece set made by Snap-On Tools). Lemme know what you guys do?

If you have a hemostat and can get to the point of the hook, cut the fishing line and pull it through like a sewing needle, instead of trying to back it out. That's what Rambo would do. Very Happy
