Caught a tiny bluegill to use for pike bait, rain chased me off. Im not used to shore fishing with bait,
supposedly it was better in the mourning with some bowfin and small pike being caught.
folks were filling their buckets with bluegills, the odd crappie, and some cats, bulls and channel.
If folks that dont pratice catch and release bother you, pierpoint causeway is not the place for you. |

Nobody was catching bass? I know it's been slow, but there's no shortage of bass in Keeney. The recent rain has made the bottom feeders/scavengers a lot more active lately. I'm going to start having a secondary nightcrawler rig going just to keep me busy when the bass bite is slow. Especially in the coves...you can always be catching bait/mystery surprise fish while you're not catching pike. _________________ Kira

I think most people consider both sides of Point Rd. as being a part of Keeney Cove, although Google only labels the northern portion. That's the only shore access (when it isn't underwater.) _________________ Kira

point rd is a little road off of naubuc ave, which is off of rt 3/glastonbury ave.
its right in downtown glastonbury. The causeway is above water and gets quite lively down there.
