can someone please give me some advice on catching stripers out of the ct river?
i have no boat so im limited to fishing from shore and im located around the hartford area. any advice on where to go and what to use would be greatly appreciated. I have had no luck and am starting to doubt my fishing abilities and desperately need to get a striped bass this summer. Please any help would be greatly appreciated!

Charter Oak Landing at 50 Reserve Road, Hartford, CT

or

Riverside Park at 20 Leibert Road, Hartford, CT

Use a fish finder rig with a 2-3 ounce or more weight with sandworms or chunk bait.

The CT River has been really tough to fish this year with all the rain. The water looks like chocolate milk and that isdifficult to be productive in.

You have to become one with the migration pattern of the fish. Very Happy

Tell me about it! I've watched it 6 times since RobO sent it to me, and I don't even give a damn about stripers.

Sad thing is, I have started quoting lines to my wife.

I don't know if it helps or hurts her understanding of my desire to catch a 50lb striped bass.

Kira,

That is one of the funniest things I have ever witnessed. Except that, I too, have that pipe dream. I want to catch a 50 LB striped bass!

It's obvious I have the head lamp to keep both my hands free for those night time battles.

I love it!
