My wife doesn't fish either, she relaxes and reads a book.

You want her to work? Make her carry the boat to the water, once she's aboard make her swim to shore.

YOu may not be married much longer but she will get a good workout. Laughing

Good stuff guys, I like my Kayak. In the future I will invest in one with more cockpit room. Luckly my girl wants no part of the water, fishing. I'm sure she would find a way to put me in the drink for somthing that I did, or did not do.

Hi Phil!

Something to consider is (since you already have kayaks - which you like) is to get a boat that is much more spacious (and stable) that the whole family can get in and enjoy together!

Just something to think about!

I have a canoe I like it a lot it. It holds all my crap that I might need plus there is plenty of room for another person. It weighs 74 pounds and has a cooler built into the middle seat and a waterproof container for whatever you may need to put in there I usually store my keys and camera and wallet in there.

It gets me in those shallow tight places easy.

For my next boat I would like to get a Jon boat.

Phil, next time we fish I'm going to let you take Dinghbat for a test drive. No pressure, not for sale...just need you to see what you're missing by limiting yourself.

The Native Ultimate 12 Tegris? Yeah, 'd like to give it a test paddle, too.

I use a canoe, major downside is you get blown around very easily, esp in mine, no keel.
