Sorry this report is late but I've been a little tied up.
Well, my brother and I decided to hit up our old favorite pond we used to fish before I moved to FL. We get the john boat out around 8:45 am. Noticed the water was stained. We had the place to ourselves and decided to start on the East side of the pond, just up from the dam. I caught a few on a wacky pumpkin senko with O-ring. I used that same senko for the entire trip! I caught 2 on a texas rigged worm. My brother caught only 2, but had a 2lber. I ended up catching a couple on the west side of the lake too, to total 7 for the day. Not bad, but the conditions were not that great. It had rained hard a day or 2 before. Also I think it was post spawn. I tried other baits without success. I want to use other things besides senkos, but when you catch fish with a senko, its hard to put it down!

Yeah, I'm starting to look for the big post-spawn bass now, too. While I enjoy catching loads of small ones, I need some three plus pounders, now. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

MarkO - I'm sorry for the miscommunication. I recently moved from FL. I used to live in CT and fished Dooley Pond back then. Moved to FL in 2000. My fishing greatly improved while living down there. _________________ When in doubt, rip their lips out! |
