|
|
Yesterday I caught a 9 pound bass. It was 23.5 inches long and had a 19.5 inch girth. It was filled with eggs and got her off a bed on a watermelon senko. The bass was with the male and that bass was no bigger than 12 inches! This same bass i caught 2 years ago post-spawn and it weighed over 7 and got it on a yellow perch x-rap minnow., and 3 years ago I caught it and it was also post spawn and got it on a frenzy crankbait. Each time this bass came to the same bedding area. Also each time i caught this bass it set my personal best largemouth. I also released her again right back onto the bed and the male bass awaited her and they were both fine. I'm going to be checking on them the next 2 days just to make sure they are still there. I also named the bass laraine, kinda similar to the bass in califonia named Dottie! haha
