So I got there about 12:45.... went to mashapaug launch, a ton of boats.. went to bigelow boat launch, thought I'd have a chance today, saw a couple of bass right near the handicap dock. Fished there for a while, went to other side of the little launch and that's when it happened. A couple was hiking and stopped by to ask if I had bug spray. I said no. They asked if I had been getting bitten I said no. They said they were, they were parked in the parking lot there and they left. The bugs attacking them seemed to stay with me and where ever I went I was getting eaten! ugh. Then a mother, daughter and 2 babies show up and put a blanket right down near the little launch and they were screaming and yelling.... ugh... went to other parts of bigelow and the bugs followed but no fish... no fish... again.
I am going to buy worms and catch pumpkinseed, cuz nothing else is biting my wide variety of lures.
lures I used were a white and orang roadrunner, green/yellow rattler and a yellow spinner bait.
maybe next time..."sigh". |

Wow, that was fast! You must live nearby. I would have thrown my crappie rig. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

Smokey with blue and purple flakes 5" senko wacky or texas rigged has been getting hits in anywhere from 6' to 2' of water in every lake I have been on this season. 4 nice bass today on that setup, lost a few more on bad hooksets. Worth the $4 for 10 of those things. _________________ We're gonna need a bigger boat. No really I have a tiny boat. |

Use Gamakatsu number 4 octopus circle hooks for your wacky rig. They're the best hook for that. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |
