| Is there any shore fishing around Rainbow Res and has anyone had good luck? I would be parking at the launch. Thanks for any tips. |

Shore fishing at the launch is very limited. The area immediately to the left of the launch is a featureless sand flat, with not too many fish. If you walk down the trial on the left, you will come to a little cove, and there might be some fish in there. Other than that, there really isn't much shore access unless the lake is drawn down.

| Go all the way to the left. If you can cast across the cove i've cought a couple crappie at the point on the other side. I was on a boat though, so it may be tough to get it across. |

Lots of yellow perch in that cove. I go there sometimes to catch bait for pike fishing. Early in the morning you will probably see some trout rising at the mouth, also. Might get some little smallies too, but don't expect anything big out of there.

| Flipper, got any advice on how to catch these trout? I can pull bass out of there pretty easily, but never any trout. I got the fish in my pic there a couple years ago so there are some decent fish. |

Try an inline bucktail spinnerbait. Shiny/flashy often works for actively feeding trout, especially stupid stockies. If that doesn't work, pull out some flies.

I don't fish for trout too much anymore, but I was always a big fan of meal worms. Especially under a clear bobber when they are on top.
