I've been fishing the Long Island Sound between New Haven and Niantic for 30+ years from boat and from shore.
I'm withot a boat at this time (kids in college)
I'm seriously looking for someone who needs a fishing partner.
I'll pay my way and hopefully share some of my knowledge along the way.
Reply if iterested,
Thanks,
John |

John,
Would you be up for traveling? I own a 20 footer and we go out to Block Island fishing for stripers, blues, and fluke. With the high cost of fuel today I would like to have 4 guys on the boat, me included. My good friend Alan who I met on this site lives in Hamden. He is always willing to share a commute ride up to here. So if this would interest you please let me know. Fishing season is upon us once again.

Did the initial yearly shake down cruise this Monday. We fished for fluke out on Nebraska Shoals with zero bites. Moved over to Charlestown Breachway area and drifted again and not one single bite between three of us. Then we headed out to Block Island and switched over to trolling tubes for stripers with zero hits. After that we headed over to the Point Judith Lighthouse and switched over for totaug using green crabs with zero bites. The skunk was out that day and we were the only damn boat that was out. All we accomplished was using up 30 gallons of fuel in my boat with not one damn fish coming over the gunnles. I think its still to early because the water temps were only 46 degrees. So I am installing some LED strip lights in my boat for night time striper fishing and doing some odds & ends fixing. I figure why not at least work on the boat while waiting for the "real" fishing to begin.
I am making plans now for the 1st week in June. I think anytime sooner is only wasting fuel and money. Are you able to take off a day during the week to go? Also did I give you Alan's number? Will keep you posted and let me know if you have Alan's number. |

Hey,
That's why they call it fishing and not catching.
But you are putting in the time and it will pay ff eventually.
I can take a day off during the week but it usually had to be a Monday or Tuesday because i work a 2nd job on Wednesday and Thursday nights.
No you never did give me Alan's number.
Keep me posted on your plans i would really like tio join you guys. _________________ Tight Lines! |

John,
I just sent you a PM with Alan's home and cell phone number. I am shooting for the 1st week of june to get back out there. I'de rather wait for good results, than waste $4.15 per gallon, and that's just today's average gas price here. Next week who knows what the hell it will be. Anyway feel free to give Alan a call. |
