I work for the state of CT and here is a link we were sent last night at work. This is a detailed report of what Malloy plans to close and layoff, each department if you'd like to check it out. He would like to close burlington, kensington, and quinebaug hatchery, as well as reduce DEP staff by 25%, theres alot going on, but this would DEF. hurt our trout fishing.........

Just another example of how bad the economy is still hurting. I just wonder how much it will hurt financially when/if anglers don't renew licences.

does this moron relise how much money trout fishing brings to the state in revenue and tax dollars this guys is totally out of control and has to be sent a message.

Couldn't agree more with you "steve b"!

We only have 3 state fish hatcheries and eliminating them all is crazy Exclamation

The state would lose a massive amount of revenue and taxes that sportsmen/women spend on gear, fuel, food, lodging, etc., etc. Exclamation

Where would the state then get the fish to stock our rivers, streams, lakes, and ponds Question

And what would the cost be to buy fish from somewhere else Question

Also we don't have enough DEP conservation officers as it is now and they want to reduce their numbers by 50% Question

Oh! And it's proposed to reduce or eliminate services to our veterans!

Those that worked up these proposals are definitely vying to receive a "DARWIN AWARD Exclamation
