atkins - that is also my favorite. I learned it when I moved to FL. Do you use "o" rings on the bait?

no, I should, to keep em from popping off, One guy told me scotch tape works too.
Ive seen on guy use just a hook and a brad nail in one end to weight it. I prefer using a jig so it sinks quicker. I also like using em with a drop shot rig.
I know a lot of people do well using em shaky head, i just haven't seemed to get the knack for it. I am partial to the yum dingers over the true yamamoto senkos, for price, color choice and durability.

This is how you rig a wacky worm with an "o" ring. Sometimes I will use a Gamakatsu weedless circle hook. The "o" ring is mainly to avoid ripping the bait when you set the hook or get hung up. No difference in the action. It works! I also like to texas rig them. I dead stick them when the fishing is tough.

you people who live by senkos have no angling skills

i would have chose a spook because i love topwater hits
but i didnt see that on the poll list

so i picked senko since it can be a lazy mans bait

I'd throw a jig instead of a senko anyday. Well, almost anyday.

I used to be all crank and Texas rigs, the senko takes patience and skill, least Ithink, it works, were fishing for bass, can't get all picky like fly guys chasing 10 oz fish. Though bass are crafty, learning remembering, quite a thrill tricking a lunker. Ironically my three best bass came via crank, senko, and jig.
Beginner lures to me are lipless cranks, cranks, rapalas, grubs, and spoons and tins. Though one day I want to bring myself to go out with just one rod and a few castmasters,
My new skills for this year is trolling and baitcasting
