Saturday I hit the Upper Moodus lily pads for most of the morning! It was just not my day for some reason though! Wasn't that I couldn't find the fish,..actually had about 10 bites or so,..but only one made it to the boat! 
I had at least 5 other fish on the line with jigs, creatures and soft jerkbaits,..but everything was wrapping me in the weeds and then shaking off when I tried to pull them out! 
Sunday, I decided to tune up for the tourney next weekend, so I took a ride to Mansfield and fished there for about 4 hours. Got 6 bass total ,..4 on jigs, one on a dropshot and another on a swimbait. The swimbait fish was the best at about 3 lbs. I felt pretty good that I was able to get on fish that well since there were a big bunch of tourney boats that had already gone over most of my spots by the time I got there at about 9AM!

| we were out on mansfield too yesterday pre-fishing. didn't end up with too much. a couple keepers but it was a real slow bite. tough day of fishing with all of those boats out there. hopefully saturday will be a little better since we are going to be the only tourney going on there during the day. |

| It was a little slow but not too bad. At least you know your spots will still produce.we will have havefun at the tourny. hope we can getsome more people. |
