Hello fellow fisher people, the name is Jonathan. I am sure I know a fair amount of you or you know me, I own Cobra Bait and have been in the lure/tackle manufacturing business since 1999. I grew up on the CT river so if anyone ever gets in a bind or wants some info or to pick my brain I am always up for it. Lots of message boards nowadays but always good to network with people around the state.

Tight lines if this rain ever stops these stripers should be on hard soon!

Jonathan

Hi!

For stripers you could try the Connecticut River or the Thames River.
The big striper cows are now coming up the rivers to spawn Exclamation

Check with local bait shops for reports!

Hey Jonathan,

I Think I just met you out today at a local pond in Bloomfield. We had a quick chat about the pond and then went our separate ways to fish. When I got back to my car you had generously left a nice size sample pack of assorted soft plastics under my wiper. I'll be testing them out for sure. Thanks and I hope to see you out again. I checked out your website www.cobrabait.com and your selection and prices seem great. Those striper bait "sad shads" look pretty sweet too.

I gave the dead bolt and a 4" paddle tail a try yesterday. The dead bolt wacky style did great. The fish loved the extra action from the tail end with the hole in it. Caught 3 keeper LMBs with it. I had a big hit and a short struggle on a T-rig paddle tail but the fish ended up spitting the hook. It seemed like a real nice fish. Unfortunately it wouldn't bite again. The bait got hit hard and came up all twisted and mangled...the fish really wanted to eat that thing.
