Hello fellow fisherman. I'm moving to the groton area next week and was curious about the fishing. I'm coming from below the mason dixon in the great state of MD.
Looks like the fishing is relatively the same we got cold mountain trout streams in western MD, and the Chesapeake Bay for just about any anadromous breeding fish plus salt water species on the coast. I fish it all.
I don't have a boat but i do have a SOT kayak. Any places within the groton/new london area worth checking out first. I've already investigated maps and found some lakes and reservoirs and boat launch at Bluff Point. I imagine the Thames is good for "stripers" or what we refer to down here as rockfish, what else would i expect to catch in there?
Any help would be awesome. Thanks and tight lines. |

Groton area has the Thames sure you can google it and find out what species you would like to catch and ask questions as you move |
