Between my brother and I 5 largies for 10 lbs and 1 good size trout. Our other buddy on our boat caught a nice 2 lb largy. Another friend on the lake landed a 3 lb smallie. I landed a 4.5 lb largy and missed a 3+ lb about 5 feet from the boat - spit the hook. Overall a pretty good day at Zoar, especially with the water temp being what it was. The 4.5 lb was pretty lathargic - all of the bites were mush - nothing hit hard as is expected with the water temps being low. Used 6lb fluoro, 7 ft light rod, small baits.

Which ramp did you launch from, Southbury or Monroe?
Just curious I may head to Zoar this weekend in my yak.
Thanks

We launched from Southbury but this was not caught anywhere near there. Based on what we did you are much better off launching from Monroe. |
