atkins - I moved to South Florida in 2000 and got seriously involved in peacock and largemouth fishing down there. This fish happened to be in a canal behind my local Walmart. It was 3 mins. from where I lived! Lots of fun to catch. A 3 lb peacock fights like a 6 lb largemouth. Very easy to catch when they are bedding. You literally can throw a cigarette butt on a hook into their bed and catch one! They are THAT agressive when bedding. Also caught snakeheads, oscars, alligator gar and mudfish (bowfin).
