hit up hanover about 4 oclock with a buddy. slow at first, but then it picked up quick. caught all on small jigs with craw type trailers. green/pumpkin and black. and my buddy used a senko wacky rigged with a bullet weight to hop it off the bottom like a jig.
biggest was about 2lbs id say. caught 8 total bass, and a couple chunky perch
cant figure out how to post pics on this forum[/img] |

firepolock - you mean Hanover Pond in S Meriden? I thought that place was barren. Great start to the fishing season! _________________ When in doubt, rip their lips out! |

bassrican, yes, Hanover Pond in S. Meriden. found a drop off on the northwesternish side of the pond, caught most of the fish from the same spot without moving. and deff a good way to start the year off |

I went there today to check it out for an hour based on the reports from the last few days that ppl were catching a good amount.
Parked near the big John Deere payloader, or whatever that thing is called. Fished both to the right and the left of it, nothing. Extremely shallow on the side that I fished.
Any tips for a guy who needs some tips? |

That's actually the deepest part of the pond with the most moving water, not too much there cept for some perch and carp. Need to fish the other side behind the building with some light finesse worms or small jigs. |
