Left work about 3:30pm got to the cove about 4:10. saw a couple of guys catching a few white perch, by the time I caught up to them the fish were gone. After talking to them they stated they were ther all day and chased a few schools of WP all day.
After casting around for a bit I went to the outter cove to troll for schoolies, with no luck. The wind was stiff from the south, so after a couple of hours of that I went back to the main cove. I figured I would make a few casts, if I did not catch I would go home. The second cast I picked up a WP and from about 6:30 till 8:30 I hammered them. I lost count after 37 and caught on the upwords of 50, and did not move more than 25'. I have not caught numbers (in such a short time) like that in a bunch of years. All were caught on a 1/8oz jig with a 1-1/2" Mister Twister Grub chartruse. All in all a great day. I even keep 3 of the for my daughter. Size were 7"-14" the 3 I keep were 12-14" most of the fish were 7-10"

Could you fish the cove without a kayak or is shore fishing even worth it? _________________ Top 5 Favorite lures: Boo-yah Boo jig, Zoom Horny Toad, Rapala Husky Jerk, Berkley Power Worm, Senkos |

Sounds really fun. Glad you hit the school. I have a spot local that I'm dying to try for them. |

Max you will need a boat or kayak. Not enough shoreline.
