I think the case with most of us in CT is when the warmer weatehr comes alot of our favorite spots get choked with milfoil and all that aquatic matted vegetation. I was wondering what you guys use to fish that besides top water frogs.

Drop shot senkos. Drop it right in the holes of the milfoil.

I'll be trying out these topwater hybrid garlic MouseWorms with Stanley DoubleTake frog hooks:
I've been 100% topwater when it comes to fishing in heavy vegetation but I'm going to attempt punching through the mat with some creature baits this year. At night I use buzzbaits as close to the weed edge as I can get, parallel if possible.

| 1 to 11/4 oz tungsten worm weight with a slim profile soft plastic like a creature bait, texas rigged, then create your own holes. |

that said....let me know where you find the matted hydrilla....I have only seen one body of water in CT that has it....and has only been outside of a certain cove  for a relatively short time to my knowledge....now that it is out, it should spread like wild fire
