Went to scout the housy last night. Forget about it. Water is brown and raging. The water level must have been a good 6' above normal south of the derby dam by all the debris everywhere. Couldn't believe the mess. And the tide should have been halfway out @ the time we were there but it was running about a foot above normal high tide. Hopefully just a few more days to wait it out but who knows.

Hi CD!

I wouldn't get my hopes up to high as it is going to be sometime (week +) before the Housy and Ct. River come down.
Lots and Lots of snow and ice from way up north yet to melt and drain into the Housy Exclamation

Here is the site to see the Housy watershed:
www.hvaToday.org/show.cfm?page=info/watershedmap.htm&folder=info

Also -> Here is (in real time) the USGS page of river and stream gage stations into the Housy:
http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis/current?huc_cd=01100005&index_pmcode_STATION_NM=1&index_pm

FYI Exclamation -> THERE'S A LOT OF WATER COMING DOWN AND MORE TO COME AND THAT'S JUST FROM MELT -> NEVER MIND WHAT WE'LL GET FROM MORE STORMS Exclamation Sad

Hang in there -> It'll take a while, but things will eventually get better! Smile

Going up now. Can't take it anymore. Will let y'all know how it goes. The mouth of the river looked pretty quiet & not too dirty this afternoon.
