Hi All!
Just a reminder to All -> That tomorrow Feb. 28, 2011 is the Last Day of legal fishing in most Ct. lake and pond waters, especially those that are designated to have trout.
Only those waters that have Pan Fish "only" will still be open after Feb. 28th!

Oh Guys!
I said most (by law) Ct. "lakes and ponds" are closed after the 28th till April.
I said nothing about streams and rivers which most are still open!
All info is in the 2011 Ct. Angler's Guide off the DEP web site for you to read

There are some lakes that stay open year round in CT just make sure to confirm with this years angler's guide before heading out. The trophy trout lakes are also open until March 31. |

Hi DD!
As I said "MOST" Ct. lakes and ponds are closed after the 28th. -> Those designated for trout.
There are certain waters, such as Batterson that close early.
All the Pan Fish lakes and ponds are open year round! (No Trout in them!)
The only exceptions are Trophy Trout waters (March1 to 31), of which there are only 8, and only 1 fish can be taken and it has to be 16 inches or better!

East Twin is an exception and closes after tomorrow because it is also a Kokanee Lake. |
