Been hearing today the debate on whether cities, towns, and the state should dump some of this massive snow into different waterways. What are your opinions on this?
and if they do this what effect if any do you think it will have on fishing in the upcoming seasons? |

| I think that we are going to have some dangerous flooding, but our little fish friends know how to handle it, look at the CT river in the past floodings, Most of our lakes have been drawn down, they wont have to fill it this season, they better just leave the dams open. As for tournys on the CT river, Zoar, Lilly, its going to be a floating crap field, more than a sewage plant. But imagine all the new structure!!! ya who!! |

| It's probably not the best idea due to the road salt, sand, motor vehicle fluids and other impurities which will be dumped directly into waterways. When the snow is allowed to melt naturally a large portion of the impurities never make it into the waterways because it is naturally filtered through the ground. As long as it is regulated through the DEP hopefully they will monitor what is being dumped and it won't be an issue. |

| I was at the Wethersfield cove today and within 10min I saw 10 or more tri axle dump trucks dumping loads of snow in the parking lot there. They just kept coming. It is going to be a while before all that snow melts. |
