| Why the hell do they stink so bad, smells like they rot inside out when you open them up ? How can you cook them, of course if you can. Thanks |

| small baby blues? gut them and fry them salt, garlic,green onion, ginger, lil bit white pepper, splash of soy sauce... fry to super crispy in fryin pan not deep fried... eat everythng but the head.... |

| If you cook them you may have to invest in a non traditional filet knife and may end up with some legal trouble on your hands, but if that's what you want to do then go ahead. Maybe dress them with some vinegar, i dont really know. |

I couldn't find anything about the legality of catching snapping turtles on the DEP's website. However, there was a description of snapping turtles that concluded with, "Snapping turtles are occasionally eaten; however, the concentration of large amounts of pollutants such as PCBs in their flesh makes regular consumption of snapping turtle meat a potential health hazard for humans."

| Ok so im in a salt water tread talking about snappers... Am i dumb for thinking thinking snapper blues? or are you talking about snapping turtles which are fresh water and shouldn't be in saltwater? Just a thought... i guess my eyes are slanted and it said pond or lake fishing... sorry for my miss information... |
