Fished Batterson Park Pond from 5:30pm - 8:00pm after work. Figured I'd tried there for hopes of hitting some place that was not too pressured. NOT!! There were at least 10-12 boats, canoes, and kayaks there by the time I got off there .... can you say pressured! Anyways, started out with a white spinnerbait and got some nibbles but didn't pan out. After awhile started to flip and pitch a weedless tube along the riprap breaks and all the downed trees that were there in about 2-5 fow. Had a field day as the bass could not stay off my line. Litterally picked apart the trees for several fish from each one. This was fishing behind 3-4 other boats that had already gone over the spots. In 2.5 hrs got a total of 12 fish averaging 1.5-3.0 lbs. and missed about the same amount due to poor hooksets or lucky jumps. All in all got my bassing fix! _________________ Eat, Sleep, Fish......I Love my SKEETER ZX225!!!

Nice Job!
Hmmm, wonder if there are any good places to shore fish there on my way home from work in Hartford at around 7pm. |

Nope, it wasn't my go to color. Mark for some reason they didn't want white that day but they sure loved the black neon with red flakes. _________________ Eat, Sleep, Fish......I Love my SKEETER ZX225!!!

Rookie67, there are some access spots on the shore along the left side looking out from the boat launch or the far end of the lake on the Farmington/Hartford side but with the exception of the launch area itself the New Britain side has very little access spots. This place is best fished from a canoe or a tin boat. _________________ Eat, Sleep, Fish......I Love my SKEETER ZX225!!!

Be careful out there around dark. That is a really shady area of New Britain/Farmington! |
