There is not nearly enough parking available to hold the event. We need to maintain enough road width for emergency vehicles to safely pass through. That would be a difficult task with all the snow piled along the sides of the road. Sorry to all for any inconvienence. We want to host a fun and safe event for everyone. It's just not in the cards for us this year....

That was my guess. A lot of us sure picked a tough year to start ice fishing, didn't we?

Aight very understandable but arent there other accesses onto the lake? not launch wise but class act has a launch type on the pike... And can get to it from the old wasveco place? Safety first i guess...

Reasons as it was told to me:

1) The town has not kept up with the snow in the parking lot. We are looking into getting loader to come in and clear it, but that's up in the air.

2) Snow is very deep on the lake, 24+" making it difficult to walk (drag) your equipment.

3) We don't want anyone to get injured with that amount of snow on the lake.

I'm waiting to hear back if it's being rescheduled. As soon as I hear, I'll post.

they haven't plowed the lot and parking is always an issue there so they had to cancel. They needed enough room for 2 emergency vehicles and they didn't have it.
