Looks like the same fish to me. Catch & release FTW!

Definitely looks like the same fish. You gotta love it. It put on an ounce of weight in the last 2 months too. Thanks for letting her go so I could catch her |

For those who don't recall, here's the report from 11/16/2010 about Kira's 21 inch, four pound, eight ounce bass from the same pond:
http://www.ctfishtalk.com/nod-brook-wma-11-16-t5932.html
The markings on both sides match up so well that it has to be the same fish. I have several more photos for comparison if anyone need more evidence. I'm surprised that it put on only one ounce in the last two months. Catch and release is obviously a terrific practice for sporting largemouth bass fishermen. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

largemouths metabolisms slow way down in the winter, usually only feeding once a week as far as experts can tell, with heavier feeding (through better catching days) near first and last ice! me and my brother both caught the same 5 pounder, icaught it in late spring and he caught it the following fall and it was the same, had a distinguishable little scar near the dorsal fin, but when he caught it it was definitly a little bigger! didnt have a scale but you could tell by holding and looking at it |

All fish and areas are different... I could say for where i have been fishing, ive been fishing the main channel and bass have been crossing this and hitting flags for 2 days around 3pm. Same as last year but different times and different areas around the channel... I dont agree the metabolism would stop the fish from feeding.. dog eat dog world out there on some lakes and ponds and fish know it so when bait is around... they will feed. Again this is an opinion from my outings... Kira did a great job today where we went... hopefully she post pics...
