I was wondering how thigh the ice was mainly on upper middle and lower Bolton lakes we were thinking of going ice fishing next week but we just wanted to see how thick it was and if it was safe to bring the kids |

billybass - Did you get the catfish on cut bait sitting on the bottom under tip ups? _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

Hey Peco,,, No we were not using cut bait ,just a shiner almost on the bottom
maybe a 1ft up if that , I will only set 2 tipups that low because of weed and stuff and it always those 2 that get a cat,,They are most always on the bottom,Gulp sells some good catfishbait that will land you one if you put it on the floor of that place....They are stocked there and there very healthy looking..
You guys should hit that place next,,,Its a nice hole,,and it always delivers |

Thanks, billybass. I haven't caught a catfish in Connecticut, yet. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |
