tip ups!!! some people dont use em' but i sure as hell do! put out five first and then start moving around jigging, that way you can cover alot more ground and start noticing patterns in the bites you get and start moving and repositioning your baits accordingly! I've never personally caught any huge fish jigging, all of the ones with any size to em' have come on the tip ups |

icemanCT - So, do YOU know whether it's true that there's at least one really deep spot in one of the ponds? The deepest spot that I've seen in either pond is only 18 feet. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

we fished 18 feet yesterday there and that was clearly the most productive spot. it was right at the end of a drop off |

PECo,
I'm sorry I don't. Back in the day we never caught anything in the south pond. All our action came in the north end of the north pond. Not sure why but that was the way it was back then. |

The channel in the north end of the north pond is one of my favorite spots there. It's still good. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

Hey Phil how is it going in. Is it accessible with the Pontiac?

I agree with Jon. I drive over those giant spiky rocks because I'm lazy, but my oil pan has a few more inches of clearance than most cars. BTW Jon, I'm gonna flip a senko into that tunnel where you parked last time. I have a feeling there's some sort of monster lurking in there. _________________ Kira

18 ft is the max depth, and that's where I was getting hits 2 ft. off the bottom in open water. That's the magic spot. Let's get some tip-ups going all over that area and see what happens. _________________ Kira

Jon brought one tip up with him, today, and we live lined the golden shiner that he caught on it. It was a BIG shiner and we never got a flag. Only one of the biggest chain pickerels in the pond would have been able to take it. Mike1 (aka Mike, of course) said that his buddy caught a 30 incher there recently.
Tim - Yes, I idle my car very slowly over the rocks. I probably shouldn't, but I'm an idiot. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |
