Well fished cwood with Cajun yesterday Found the lake had alot of skim ice over it and some was a 1" thick this may have been the last open water trip there for me until next year . The fishing was slow water temp was 36 ended up getting 10 or so smallies and some yellow perch ... Hope it warms up some this week to get rid of the ice. Not ready to give up the open water yet

Look at your calendar  -> Tomorrow is the 1st day of WINTER! 
Indian Summer only happens in November 
Get yourself ready though -> SMELT FISHING IN JANUARY

Nice to know people are still out there fighiting the cold and catching some fish.
BTW- what were you fishing when you caught the smallies?
I hoping of taking the yak out a few more times

My grams likes smelts. Where you getting em? She used to fish 4 them in maine. I would love to get her some. |
