Got on the water with friend mike iovino about 6:15 this morning and it was freezing. Nothing like the past week had been. I was really hoping for a good day of fishing all week but knew it probably wouldnt be so hot on a cold front situation. We tried a little top-water and nothing. Tried fishing deep for a while and still nothing. We moved in towards the weed edges and fished in 10 to 15 feet and we started to catch some bass. They were all small 10 to 11 inchers though. We struggled with the cold and the wind for the better part of the day then moved in towards squants launch to leave and i finally caught a picture worthy fish. Still not the usual candlewood beast but it was the best fish of the day.

It was a very tough day to be out on big water with that wind & cold,....I sure hope summer gets here soon!! _________________ "If people concentrated more on the really important things in life there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."
