Left the harbor in search of bait at 5:00AM, saw some flips - no real concentrations. The gillnetters in the harbor weren't doing very well either. Hit "the reef" on the incoming took a while to find them. Ended with 5 keepers (small 32 inch cookie cutters) and one blue. One hit the 6 oz diamond jig and the rest on th 16oz chartreuse "Bigbubba" jig, Boats around me were hooking up with live eels. I was fishing in 45-70' of water. Once the pack showed up they turned off. One fish had sea lice the rest did not.
I almost forgot landed a small fluke in the Harbor trying for Shad. |

Just an observation, most every fluke I've caught this season has had small sand crabs in their bellies. I still havent seen any bunker in Westbrook. _________________ 79 grady 204c 150 hp E-TEC |
