yes ive been to 3 places with safe ice. i ventured out at 7 am fri morning and found 4-5.5 inches at these places!!! 1 lake was sturdy and big in winchester, and the rest were in hartland CT. All safe ice but small lakes. I am a 275 lbs guy and walked across all n even jumping there was no cracking SEA DOG!!!! The key is knowing ur ice, i went out with a rope n still went well. Its gonna be gone after Sunday with 50+ temps and rain with the honeycomb affect so get out sat or u will be screwed in CT till Jan!! NY and NH r still good with 6-8 inches but the rain n warm snap will kill ice till JAN. GOOD LUCK N BE SAFE! ILL PST MY PICS SAT NIGHT FROM MY OUTINGS! I WILL NOT REVEAL SPOTS TILL I HAVE FISHED THEM!! FIRST ICE IS THE BEST!!!!
