I wasn't planing on going fishing today but the sun was shining and i just couldn't help my self . I only had about two hours by the time i figured out that i was gonna go before i had to be back at the house to watch my nephew, so i got on the water at 2 and had the boat back on the trailer at 4. it was a little breezy and really chilly on the water and water temp was FREEZING, 38deg. So i started of throwing the go to bait, drop shot with zoom finesse worm, but had no takers. After about an hour of throwing the drop shot, I started throwing a 3in chigger craw on a 1/4 oz jig head with a really slow dragging retrieve and i picked up a nice chunky 16in smallie. I had a few nibbles after but couldn't get a hook in them.

That's a lot better than the two little yellow perch that TurtleKiss (aka Kira) and I pulled out of Millers Pond today. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

yeah, the bass are definitely not not biting like they were a month ago, but i did talk to a guy out on the water that day that said he got on a school and puled five smallies out of one spot, i didn't ask him what he was using but i saw him throwing a small jig and a spoon. _________________ this fish here is a real donkey!!! |
