So, you're The Stig!
1/4 inch! The ice, I mean. Wow! I didn't realize that it was so cold out there already. I just might try some icebreaking in my kayak this weekend. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter!

That's "Woodcreek" in Norfolk, Ct. metalfish is at.
Also known as the icebox of Ct.
Usually always the 1st water to freeze over in Ct.
Trouble is -> More rain coming and temps going up to 50 next week.
Will be a while yet before there is any considered decent ice -> 3" or better forms.
Still, every year, we'll get the reckless and foolish (without safety gear!) who will try to get out on ice less then 3" just to catch a fish
They forget that the undisputed rule is -> "THERE IS NEVER ANY SAFE ICE EVER"
Me!? -> I can wait till the ice gets to a minimum of 4"
I can appreciate his itch -> I too am looking forward to some hardwater fishing!
